Ahmet Acar holds a M.A. in communication studies and computing sciences. Between 2005 and 2007, he built the web 2.0 initiative at the Freie Universität Berlin and worked there as an e-learning consultant. In Potsdam, he helped to found the School of Design Thinking at the Hasso-Plattner-Institut from 2007 to 2009. He started his own consultancy in 2009 and is now the project coordinator for the formation of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society. He is an Alcatel SEL fellow since 2004 and a BMW foundation fellow since 2010.
